RISE Library: A Special Education Resource Library

The RISE library is a special education resource lending library for California parents, educators or anyone interested in special education. The resource library contains thousands of items such as books, audiotapes, manuals, articles and videos on a variety of topics related to disabilities and education. The library is located at Parents Helping Parents, a Family Empowerment Center located in Santa Clara, California.

Individuals can search the resources at the RiSE Library using the library's online search tool. Librarian Judy Bower can also help library users find the material they need and will mail books and material to borrowers throughout the state. The borrower is responsible for the return postage on the items and covering the replacement costs for any lost or destroyed items. This convenient resource means that families and educators across the state can assess these excellent special education resources for only a few dollars and a phone call.
